Body shaming, Broke shaming and Slut shaming.
BODY SHAMING.
Growing up as A fat Ajebutter living in a neighborhood filled with ajekpakos, I saw shege!
From being called orobo to being called fatty bombom or was it when they called me Fatima? Lmao. 💀
Trust me when I say it pained me like crazy. I used to cry and I hated going out because of the taunts from those hungry looking neighbors.
(Thank God for this university, My Gym.)
Body shaming has cut through so many people.
The depression, the low self esteem, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, body dysmorphia. Do we ever stop to consider that?
Yes, body shaming is equal to bullying because tell me why you're making fun of Something most people can't control? Let’s even put being overweight aside (you can probably burn that fat at the gym), why mock someone’s natural body structure?
"she's flat like a paper."
"she's too tall."
"he's too skinny" And so? who asked you? you think if they could change their physical appearance, they wouldn't have done it already?
You lot are the same people that get mad when someone uses his/her money for a body reconstruction just because they want to fix their insecurity. Meanwhile you were the same people that made fun of them when they had the "flat nose, big mouth and small butt"
It's even funnier when a woman pushes out a whole human being and one month later, people are already telling her to burn fat so her husband won’t cheat.
Someone that gave birth a month ago? You want her to have a snatched waist already? Are you mad?
The media keeps promoting unrealistic body types and It's not even funny.
You're shaming short men with big tummies, meanwhile the men in your life are like "maltina cans"
You're shaming shapeless women, while the ladies in your life are looking like balloons.
It's God that will help all of you..
BROKE SHAMING.
You guys, don't believe everything you see on the Internet.
Social media and Unrealistic standards are like 5&6.
In this big 2025, you're belittling people because of their financial status?
You even go as far as calling them lazy because you think they're not trying hard enough.
Bruh, if resources were available, most of the people struggling today would be rich asf
You’re broke shaming people from your daddy’s parlour, living off WiFi you didn’t pay for. That's why your mouth is Running like a tap.
You people are just putting pressure on people, encouraging unhealthy obsession for wealth.
It’s killing people. Slowly. Mentally. Spiritually.
That's why you see kids of 14/15 year olds buying cars and building houses.
90% of the time, this money is gotten illegally.
Stop the mockery.
Understand that economic struggles are real.
Life isn't a bed of roses for everyone.
Why not try empathy or silence. Keep shut.
If everyone in this world was freaking wealthy, how'd the world be?
SLUT SHAMING.
Women are the most targeted in this case.
It's basically when people get judged for their perceived sexual behavior.
"She’s a whore. Look at the crop top she’s wearing. Exposing her tummy.”
But when you go out shirtless, chest out, you don't realize you're also an ashawo?
“Na ashawo. Every day she’s talking to different men.”
But you? You call 20 girls “babe” and you’re forming Mr righteous.
God forbid a woman dares to have Conversations.
Imagine going to someone’s DM and asking how much for a one-night stand just because she posted a beach picture in shorts and a crop top.
You just stayed and assumed she belongs to the streets. Are you not embarrassed like this?
Or when you label women with saggy breasts as hoes, claiming “men don press am tire.”
If you had sense, you'd know gravity and genetics exist.
If you were educated, you’d know better.
The double standards are crazy.
Men are being applauded for sleeping around. They are called kings but when a woman does, she's loose and a street rag. (Make una no dey sleep around ejor. STDs are real.)
Why aren’t men called loose too? Is sexual purity only for women?
Are women the only ones expected to be virgins before marriage?
Make it make sense.
Omo. Una matter just tire me.
I could say more, but I don't want this to be too long because you guys might get tired. 😂
The truth is, in one way or the other, we've been victims and we've also criticized and shamed people a lot of times.
Let's drop the hypocritical act. We're all guilty, no one is a saint when it comes to these things.
It's all fun and games when the insults are directed to our opps or someone we do not know but it's painful when it hits us or someone we care about. Lol
Drink water, mind your business, stop projecting your insecurities on others, and let people be.
Ciao.
Phone shaming too 🤦
Thank God someone had to say this!
This "colour shaming" thing too just has to stop.
I'm a black girlie! I mean I have a skin that shines brighter than some of them "lots" future 😌 I'll say that again. But, they've decided to call me "Blackie" "dudu". All of those names.
I've never been this confident of my skin colour. A stranger in a commercial bus literally told me what's my skin care routine like. Me? Skincare? No nowwww!🥺
Anyways, let's all do way more better
